July 5th 8PM Pdx Indie Music invites you to join the party at the Doug Fir Lounge  Portland’s best sounding live music venue for all of your indie music shows presents a night with three indie bands you won’t forget anytime soon. A Happy Death, Black Pussy and The Hugs will take the stage for what will be a night of blazing indie music shows and a must note on your local live music event calendar fo sure. Amidst a cold and dirty New York winter, A Happy Death formed with the intention to create rock and roll music that has vintage tonality with a modern punch. This is going to be a indie live music kickass night and you wanna be there to witness the moment it all goes down.

Local indie band Black Pussy with a new album in the works is a band that knows how to work an audience when it comes to mind and body flow. If Hendrix had lived, he probably would have ended up recording Black Pussy’s ‘On Blonde‘ in 1971 as a kerosine-soaked hard rock warning against the commercial, pretentious pop overkill to come. Black Pussy is the sound of a dirty, immense engine coming down a two-lane blacktop; a trip fueled by the roar of a 1967-purchased bong in the back of a 1972 Nova (“Marijuana”), listening to the cars surrounding, heading into the sunset (“Indiana”). And their ready to turn it up loud!

Local up and coming Indie band, The Hugs, join the party July 5th at the Doug Fir Lounge playing their Garage-Pop Rock music in harmony and solid beats. The Hugs began in 2007. Founded by song-writer and singer Danny Delegato.
The Hugs Third Full Length Studio LP ‘Dirty Gems‘ comes with 11 brand new songs, was released world-wide June 26th, 2012. Listen to it and make your move.
