June 8 PSBJ/KOMO News Goode for Business Report

Today’s segment features an exclusive excerpt from Kirsten Grind’s The Lost Bank, being released on June 12. During the most dizzying days of the financial crisis, Washington Mutual, a bank with hundreds of billions of dollars in its coffers, suffered a crippling bank run. The story of its final, brutal collapse in the autumn of 2008, and its controversial sale to JPMorgan Chase, is an astonishing account of how one bank lost itself to greed and mismanagement, and how the entire financial industry—and even the entire country— lost its way as well. It’s a magisterial and gripping account of these events, tracing the cultural shifts, the cockamamie financial engineering, and the hubris and avarice that made this incredible story possible. The men and women who become the central players in this tragedy— the regulators and the bankers, the home buyers and the lenders, the number crunchers and the shareholders—are heroes and villains, perpetrators and victims, often switching roles with one another as the drama unfolds. CCTV at Presidential Inauguration Was in Safe Hands with EITS Global

CCTV at Presidential Inauguration Was in Safe Hands with EITS Global

Washington D.C. (PRWEB) February 16, 2013

Leading Events RFID and CCTV solutions provider, EITS Global, supplied the CCTV equipment and logistics for the Presidential Inauguration Committee during the 2nd inauguration of President Obama, which was located at the National Mall, in D.C.

The National Mall is a grassy expanse that stretches for over 2 miles from the Lincoln Memorial on the western border to the US Capitol on the east. Because of the open nature of the location it was essential that comprehensive CCTV service was available in order to maintain optimum security levels. EITS Global installed and maintained almost a dozen PTZ CCTV cameras, as well as providing wireless connectivity solutions.

The EITS Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) solution is completely digital and IP based, which allowed for wireless transmission throughout the site and beyond. EITS Global also provided options for pushing CCTV images to other wireless and wired devices (such as iPads or cell phones) permitting effective viewing in a transient environment such as the one at The National Mall.

With regard to their contribution to the ceremonial proceedings of the Presidential Inauguration, EITSs Global Business Development Manager Ross McGarvey stated, It has been an honor for our organization to participate in an event of this magnitude and national importance. We are proud to have been trusted with such responsibility and are glad that all of our technical responsibilities were fulfilled without a hitch. We very much hope that EITS Global will be able to render future service to the Presidential Inauguration Committee as and when required.

EITS Globals purpose is to provide innovative and reliable global communications solutions utilizing the latest RFID, telecommunications and wireless technologies to the world.
