Denver, CO|Wings that defy description, Heat that leaves you breathless, Americas Bar and Grill, Aurora CO

Americas Bar and Grill located at the corner of Iliff and Chambers in Aurora is a friendly watering hole where wings are king.

The staff at Denver Our City Radio has long known about Americas Bar and Grill. We stopped in for a quick bite and to check out the venue. Americas is like most sports bars, flat screens on the wall with a variety of sports shows for every viewer from classic basketball, to motor sports and the ever popular MMA events. They have a great patio and friendly staff. there is always a beverage special going on and a nightly happy hour that runs 4 to 7 pm. The welcoming feel of Americas caught us as soon as we walked in and what was to be a quick meal became a few hours of spending time with a very friendly crowd enjoying the U.S.A.vs Dominican Republic in a pre-Olympic faceoff. We could devote this whole article to the great group of people sharing this evening with us, however the real stand out was the wings.

We knew before we walked in the wing menu was extensive, yet we were still impressed with the list of over a dozen flavorings ranging from mild to wild, off beat to traditional and then some. The group ordered a smattering of many flavors including their sweat but spicy “Honey Hot” traditional buffalo style “Denver Hot” and one of us – ME – Jim Earl – ordered their secret recipe wings made with Ghost Peppers. The thing about the Ghost Pepper wings affectionately called “ATOMIC REAPER WINGS” is you have to understand when you buy them your are entering a contest of epic proportions. you have 20 minutes to eat one pound of these culinary monsters and they are free. Easy, no problem, one pound, I can do that I told myself, ignoring the consequences of not completing the task, your picture proudly posted on the Atomic Reaper Wall of Lame. By the way there is also the Atomic Reaper Wings Wall of Fame as well. If you want to know how I fared you will need to stop by Americas to find my picture.

To get back to the point at hand, we agree with what we had heard, Americas Bar and Grill is a great place to sit back enjoy a beverage or two, have a plate full of the finest wings in Denver, and on any given night watch someone who thinks they are above the fray, get taken down a notch by a simple serving of the hottest wings to cross a persons lips. Think mine are still there.

Use scratch papers for draft prints by using papers that has already been printed on one side.

2. Every year, people all over the world use 1 trillion plastic bags, and more than 100 billion plastic bags are thrown away. Did you know that $ 15 billion are spent on water on plastic bottles every year? 86% of these plastic bottles are not recycled. It is always possible not to use plastic bottles in offices, and it is always possible not to use plastic in stores. Have water dispenser areas so that employees would just refill their reusable water bottles, and give out paper bags in stores instead.

3. Green tips for Seattle business owners are quite very easy to do. But this doesn’t mean that they aren’t any less important. Like homes, businesses use electricity, and there are very simple ways to do this. Save on electricity by turning off everything that isn’t in use. Make sure that you only turn off those that you wouldn’t need every half an hour or so. Break hours are a great time to switch computer monitors off. It is also a good time to turn off those lights. If only few are working, turn on desk lamps instead of room lights.

4. Air conditioners, in most cases, consume the most electricity. Never forget to turn off the AC when you don’t need it. No one would notice if you drop a degree or two in temperature, but it would definitely make a difference when the time comes to pay the bill. Thermostats also contribute to your electricity bills. No one would freeze to death with a temperature drop or two.
